Funeral Services for Wendell O’ Keefe announced

Burial Services for Wendell O’ Keefe have been scheduled for this Saturday, September 22.
The services will take place beginning at 1 p.m. at the Afton L.D.S. Tabernacle. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 21, from 7-9 p.m. at the Schwab Mortuary in Afton.
A viewing will also take place from 11:00-12:45 prior to the services beginning at 1 p.m.

Wendy, one of the last real cowboys, he ran cattle on Little Greys years ago along with other cowboy ranchers, like LD Nield, Max West, Bill West and Sid Bagley. I will always remember Wendy, sitting a horse, or more likely a colt. I have gotten to ride again with Wendy running my cattle with him in the Star Valley Cattlemen’s Association on Stump Creek and Jensen creek.
My hats off to a great friend, Cowboy, Rancher, one who helped to create wealth for the valley by using Livestock to harvest sunshine and precipitation.
