Marsh-ed Again: Braves lose, 28-12

Much like an expertly orchestrated rugby scrum, the Marsh Valley Eagles ran over the Braves for the fourth straight time in the short series history between the two schools.
Sophomore Nathan Johnson rushed for 188 yards to lead the Eagles to their homecoming win over the visiting Star Valley Braves, and they did so in impressive fashion. Rolling up over 450 yards rushing, unofficially, Marsh Valley dominated the ground game and the time of possession in their victory, moving to 3-1 on the season.
The Braves had their moments, but struggled to get the potent Eagles off the field on third and fourth down situations. Senior Jordan Abrams compiled 150 yards individually, including a 65-yard touchdown scamper to draw Star Valley close, 8-6. However, the tempo of the match up was controlled by the home team who won in front of a very sparse home crowd.
Kurtis Suloff scored for the second straight week, this time on an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
The road-weary Braves return home next Friday for the first of three straight home games, as they host the Lander Tigers during Star Valley’s Homecoming festivities.
