Two mudslides at the west end of the Snake River Canyon closed U.S. Highway 26/89, in the early afternoon on Wednesday. Both slides occurred near the Alpine Junction, about 35 miles southwest of Jackson.

Wednesday afternoon a tornado warning was issued for the Star Valley area. Schools were in lock down. Residents wondered if a twister would or could actually touch down in Star Valley.

Local students travel with group to Europe.
The Western Wyoming People to People Student Ambassador group recently returned from a 20-day ambassadorial studies tour to Europe. The group, made up of 27 strdents from the Western Wyoming area, visited England, France and Italy.

As unlikely as a tornado may seem in Star Valley, residents in the area have been warned about the possibility.

Due to heavy rainfall Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, residents of Star Valley have been warned that possible flash floods could occur in the area. This flash flood watch will be in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening. Check back often for updates on this situation.

Well, in my first week of high school prognostication, I feel like I should be pretty happy. Going 7-2 in my games selected, the two I missed were both within one score.
