Powerpuff Girls: Seniors dominate annual game, 20-0
By Dahl E. Llama on Sep 27, 2007 in Sports
It was fast-paced mayhem Thursday evening as the Class of 2008 took their second straight Powderpuff title in convincing fashion.
Michonne Robertson returned a fumble 50 yards for a score and threw a pair of scores to Michelle Bowers and Carolee Saunders to put the game out of reach for the seniors, who displayed their trademark swagger all game long. Sierra Nicoll also contributed with several long runs for the victorious squad.
The game was highlighted by several unique play calls from Head Coaches Kirsten Robbins and Remick Rappleye, not to mention several bone-jarring collisions in what was generally a friendly game of flag football. The game is part of several activities that surround the Homecoming festivities. The Braves look to defend the home field tomorrow afternoon against the Lander Tigers in a game beginning at 4 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on KRSV and will also be available via streaming internet. Visit silverstar.com and look for the link or click here and then click “Listen” at the top of that page.
