County linked through the ‘Backbone’

New information letter available on county website.

The Lincoln County Website now has a ‘backbone,’ in the form of an informational letter. The informational letter is designed to link county employees and share positive information about what is going on throughout the county.
“The Backbone is an internal document that is intended for county employees,” said Commissioner Tammie Archibald, creator of Backbone.  “It is very positive. We want people to appreciate being here, working here and living here.”
According to Archibald, creating The Backbone has been an interesting challenge that has helped her become more connected to what is happening in Lincoln County.
“It is helping me as a commissioner because it is helping me get to know the people in the county and what they do,” said Archibald. “There are a lot of things going on in the county that are positive. The goal of the letter is to bring employees of the county together, keep people informed and showcase and appreciate the people that live and work in the county.”
A new edition of The Backbone will be available on the Lincoln County Website each month. The items for the informational letter are submitted by county employees.
While The Backbone is designed for employees of Lincoln County, everyone in Lincoln County is welcome to review the information.
“There is a lot of really good information in the Backbone,” said Archibald. “It is a project that I am excited about.”
