Monday, Oct. 15 Gary Trauner officially announced the start of his campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives.  Trauner, a small business owner, said he had hoped the last election would have served as a wake-up call to Wyoming’s delegation in Washington DC.
“Last election over half the state voted for change, but the system is still broken, and Wyoming deserves better,” Trauner said “As I speak to my neighbors and people from across the state, I hear the same thing over and over, nothing has changed and Wyoming is suffering because of it.”
“I believe that Wyoming should be leading the nation in responsible energy development and fighting for health care access.  When I’m elected to Congress the only special interest group I’ll stand with is the people of Wyoming.  Hard work, integrity and straight-talk, Wyoming deserves nothing less.”
Trauner said that he still has commitments to the business he is running through the end of the year and will spend the next couple of months wrapping that up while getting ready for the race.
“The point of today is that Wyoming deserves leaders that tell it like it is, it’s what I did last time around and it’s what I’ll do this time.  Wyoming is tired of the games and the gotcha politics, people are ready for change and for serious talk about the issues, and that’s what I will continue to stand for.”
