I won’t lie, it wasn’t the prettiest game ever played in Star Valley colors over the weekend.

Four cases of fraud reported to law enforcement.
A mystery shopper scam hit Star Valley this month. To date four cases of fraudulent checks and shopping offers have been reported. Two reports were logged with Afton PD. Two reports were logged with the Sheriff Department.

Officials respond to record number of incidents.
Bear and human conflicts continue to be a huge problem in Teton County this month.  According to the Game and Fish Department, the sharp increase in bear incidents is related to “a poor natural food year.”

With a lot on the line, the Braves and Lady Braves were fighting for different things.  One wanted to come home, the other wanted to go on yet another trip.  They both got their wish.

In a unusually nice October night in the Big Horn Basin, the Warriors managed to make it a very unpleasant trip for the Braves.

It’s been a season of trying to peak at the right time. In Casper on Friday, the Lady Braves broke through the proverbial wall.

There have certainly been some big performances and clutch games. These are the ones that jumped out at me.

The Alpine Town Council gave initial approval to the transfer of a liquor license Tuesday night and moved forward with plans to extend a power line to the new community ball field.

SV Ranch looks to establish animal ordinance.
The Town of Star Valley Ranch is beginning the process of establishing an animal ordinance for the town. The council hopes to have such an ordinance ready for its first ready by January 2008.

The town of Thayne prepares to replace a member of the town council, while hearing requests for new additions to the community’s infrastructure.
