Marching band brings home superior rating.
The Star Valley High School Marching Braves have returned from the Wyoming State Marching Band Festival Competition held in Casper on Saturday, Oct. 13, with a rating of Superior I in 4A marching bands.

Proposed change would cost local district over a half million dollars.
The state continues to discuss the possibility of altering the funding model for school districts. To date non of the school districts within the state have spoken in support of the change.

Whenever you have to read “by-laws” you know it has the potential for an exciting week.

Monday, Oct. 15 Gary Trauner officially announced the start of his campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives.  Trauner, a small business owner, said he had hoped the last election would have served as a wake-up call to Wyoming’s delegation in Washington DC.

Reports are trickling out of Green River, which was the site of this year’s 4A West Regional event and Star Valley’s Trevor Ricks has a one more accolade to add to his trophy case.

Kyle Crandall compiled over 240 yards passing along with four passing touchdowns as Evanston beat Star Valley for the first time since 2004.

Some teams who have hung around the playoff picture due to the large number that now qualify will have a tough time staying in the conversation if they can’t get it rolling this week.

With the leaps and bounds that have been enjoyed in the time since SVHS made the decision to implement a Cross-Country program, it appears that even better times are ahead with the growing interest at the Middle School level.

The Wyoming National Guard Unit 1041st arrived back in the Cowboy State last week.  Click below for footage from Dan Dockstader as they arrived via bus at the Rock Springs Armory and met Governor Dave Freudenthal.
