Broncs among teams celebrating titles

Two teams, 20 victories between them, and the title game came down to a fourth and goal.
Leading 10-0 for much of the game, the Broncs nearly had the game slip away against the stubborn Buffalo Bison who pulled to within four after a failed two-point conversion, 10-6. With less than two minutes remaining, Bison quarterback, Tyler Gibbs, converted a fourth down attempt with a long run, setting up first and goal for the visiting team. Jackson’s defense comes up huge, turning away the Bison on four plays to claim their first title in 21 years. The Broncs record of 11-0 is their best in school history and is their first undefeated season since 1981.
In other action, the third time was the charm for Cheyenne East, who knocked off Evanston, 24-14 in Class 5A. It was the third straight trip to the championship for East, with two previous losses.
In Class 3A, the Kemmerer Rangers led 9-0 for much of the game over Glenrock before breaking it open for the title, 22-0.
Riverside nipped home-town Big Horn, 21-20, in 2A, while Southeast, who looked unbeatable much of the year, handled Guernsey-Sunrise, 28-12.
