Weatherby Corporation to Educate Hunters
By Wendy Hurd on Nov 21, 2007 in News
Weatherby Foundation International donated a 2-by-7 power scope for two .243 caliber rifles to help educate hunters in Wyoming. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department sponsored camps, workshops and hunter education classes will handle the two rifles with new scopes. When the hunter looks down range, they’ll clearly see the target thanks to the generosity of the Foundation.“We’re honored and grateful for these generous gifts.” said Jim Dawson, hunter education coordinator for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Dawson also says that the rifles each are equipped with interchangeable adult and youth sized stocks to fit different users.
Weatherby Corporation owner Roy “Ed” Weatherby and Foundation Vice President Sean Duffy made the donation to commemorate the Wyoming’s 10th Hunting & Fishing Heritage Expo held Sept. 7-9 in Casper.
