Christmas tree permits now available from Forest Service

Tis the season for Christmas tree permits. Permits are now available to the public at the Greys River Ranger District Office and the Confluence Information Center. Permits can be picked up during regular business hours.
Both locations offer Christmas tree permits for the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The Greys River Ranger District offers permits for the Caribou National Forest. The Confluence Information Center offers permits for the Targhee National Forest.
Christmas tree permits are $5 for trees 12 feet and under, $15 for trees 12 to 24 feet in height and $25 for any tree over 25 feet tall. There is only one tree allowed per household, but an individual can get up to five tree permits if they have the name, physical address, city, state and zip code of the individuals they are purchasing the tree permits for.
For more information, contact the Greys River Ranger District at 885-5300.
