Governor invites discussion on Wyoming’s future

Governor Dave Freudenthal says Wyoming faces the daunting
challenge of accommodating growth and prosperity while preserving all
that makes the state special to its residents. the Governor will convene a two-day conference in Casper next month to give state residents a voice in discussing both the
benefits and challenges of growth in Wyoming.

The conference, entitled “Building the Wyoming We Want,” is scheduled
for Jan. 10-11 at the Krampert Theatre at Casper College.

“We have a tremendous opportunity to grow in a way that will improve
Wyoming for all of us and our children,” Freudenthal said, “but we’ll
waste that opportunity if we don’t at least begin talking about the
issues and finding ways to use today’s growth to work for our benefit
in the future.”

The event is open to the public, but space is limited. Registration
and a fee of $25 are required. To register, and for more information,
visit: http://governor.wy.gov and follow the red link on the bottom left
to the secure registration site.

Freudenthal said he hopes the conference will encourage continuing
discussion about ways to “make sure that the Wyoming we all enjoy today
will endure into the future.”
