Hear them roar: Bears run past Braves, 63-55

Despite a two-point lead after the first quarter, the Braves couldn’t keep up with a rampaging Bear squad who kept Star Valley winless after two games.
Bear Lake, after looking a bit ragged in the first quarter, took the lead in the second and never gave it up, staying in front by as many as fifteen points in the second half. The Braves, nursing some illnesses and plagued by turnovers, made a valiant effort but were unable to cut the deficit to any less than five points.
Mitch Schwab led all scorers with 17 points, while Zane Porter finished with 11. Remick Rappleye chipped in 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort.
The road doesn’t get any easier as the Braves look to rebound quickly, hosting perennial contender Snake River Saturday afternoon.
