Out of Hibernation: Lady Bears drop Star Valley cagers

Holding Bear Lake, now 6-1 to just 14 first half points was a good accomplishment, but a 21-point explosion by the home team was enough to do in the Lady Braves who fell 43-34.
Bear Lake outscored Star Valley 21-6 in the third stanza and never relinquished the lead after trailing by four points at the half. The loss moves the Lady Braves to 0-2 on the young season.
Danette Warren led all players in both scoring and rebounding, pulling in 12 rebounds and scoring 18 points. Warren had a double-double at the half. No other Lady Brave was able to get into double digits, as McKenzie Luthi was next in line finishing with eight first-half points.
The Lady Braves now have a week off before traveling to Green River for the three-day Flaming Gorge Classic. Star Valley will face Gillette, Cheyenne Central and Rawlins on their schedule.
