Cutter Racing, which has it’s roots right here in Star Valley, still draws a nice crowd every weekend at the chariot track outside of Afton. Be sure to click below to see a few of the teams kicking up some mud.

Carolee Saunders notched 13 points and five steals to pace the Lady Braves to a 40-37 win over visiting Green River Saturday night.
Rock Springs came into the SVHS gym on Friday night and completed the varsity sweep of both the Braves and the Lady Braves in 4A West Conference action.
There were some mighty close matches but at the end of the evening, Star Valley collected four pins en route to a 47-10 duel win over visiting Green River.
Newspaper staff brings home 12 Pacemaker Awards Last weekend the Star Valley Independent earned accolades from the Wyoming Press Association as well as newspapers around the state. The Independent brought home 12 Pacemaker Awards from the statewide press convention, held in Casper Jan. 17-19.
In an event as competitive as the Tiger Grizz, the teams in attendance all have athletes who are among the best. After two grueling days, the Braves were able to prove they had the best team.
There were standout performances and performances to forget as Star Valley athletes were active in three states Friday night. Plus, one SVHS trackster set a new event record .
