CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Now is the time to prepare for the high utility bills that Wyoming customers will likely see this fall, Gov. Dave Freudenthal said.
“The easiest way to explain it is that the price of gas today at the major hub serving Wyoming is double what it was a year ago today.” he went on to say.
Governor Freudenthal, fresh off a visit in Star Valley to help dedicate the Lander Trail Monument in Afton, went on to say the following: “Higher wholesale gas prices are passed on to consumers in utility rate
increases. The Wyoming Public Service Commission does not regulate the wholesale price of gas.
Consumers can cut their utility bills by reducing energy use and improving the efficiency of their homes and businesses.”
