Take a Video Tour of Etna Elementary

When the students of Lincoln County School District #2 head back to school next week, they’ll have two new schools to welcome them back. Both facilities are modern, beautiful and ready to be used. Both are also mirror images of each other so while this is technically in Etna, you can be sure to make the connection if you’re attending Thayne this year as well.
From a more detailed security plan and convenient layouts of rooms like the gymnasium and lunchroom, to a full fledged music room and modern classrooms that have all the newest learning gadgets, take a tour through the Etna school via the Independent almost a week before you have to attend a single class or drop off a single child.
The Independent wishes to thank Superintendent John Abrams for his time and his accessibility. We’d also
like to thank everyone from the staff, especially Larry Hodgson who agreed to be on the air with us. We hope this will give parents, students and community members a glance at what are two buildings to be proud of in both Thayne and Etna.
