Even the most ardent Star Valley fan who would like to forget about who they’re playing and just lace it up and play the game.  However, with the continuing discussion regarding the Cowboy State’s classifications and how they affect schools, Star Valley is still firmly in the discussion;  whether they want to be or not.

The vast majority of people will never know the type of  dedication it takes to even complete an ultra-marathon.  Saturday morning, local running enthusiast and SVHS Cross-Country coach Ty Draney, found out what it was like to win one.

A year ago, Charlie Stibor was in first place after day one.  Of course, that was also on his own course at Cedar Creek.  This year, he’s four strokes back and well within striking distance for an individual state title.

When it comes to the Marsh Valley Eagles, the Braves haven’t had much success.  In terms of wins in fact, they’ve had no success, going 0-4 in the last four years against the hard running squad.  That all changed Friday night as the Braves celebrated Homecoming in style with a 21-14 OT win.

It’s been said that Americans hate ties.  The crowd wasn’t exactly up in arms Thursday evening but they went home without a resolution after the annual Senior/Junior Powder Puff game ended at the conclusion of overtime

With heating costs expected to rise very dramatically this winter, many people are looking for ways to lower their heating and energy costs.

In 1945 at the age of 18, Vern Bloxham earned a Bronze Star, but it wasn’t until 2008 that he was formally honored with and received the medal.

The Lady Braves are still looking for their first conference victory this season and while there were some promising aspects of their game with the Green River Lady Wolves, the evening belonged to the Green & White.

The stakes are high for two teams in need of a win this evening.  The question is:  Who wants it more?

As most people have heard, the FCC has mandated a change from analog to digital television broadcast service. The change has been in the works for several years, but will become final on February 17, 2009.
