Gillette scored 291.5 points en route to their seventh straight team title, including seven champions out of eight finalists. Their lone loss came at the hands of Hayden Heap who won a state championship at 112 pounds.

After the third round wrestlebacks, the Braves are in third place overall at the Wyoming 4A State Championship behind rival Natrona and favorite Gillette.

Though the school celebrated senior night last weekend, the seniors had plenty to say in Star Valley’s Thursday night sweep over Uinta County rival, Evanston.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Gov. Dave Freudenthal today sent his 2009 appointments for the state’s boards, commissions and agencies to the Wyoming Senate for confirmation.

The Braves wrestlers rallied  after day one to claim second place at the 2009 4A West Regional Tournament with 185.5 team points, just half a point in front of Natrona.  Green River forged 231 points to win the team title.

The Braves knocked off Rock Springs on the hardwood and 23 wrestlers qualified for the 4A State tournament next week in Casper.
