Redshirt freshman, Adam Waddell, is a key part of the Wyoming Cowboys as they move forward into the off-season. But it’s his acrobatic backflip dunk and his appearance on NBC’s Today Show that are still drawing open-mouthed gapes and some much appreciated national glare at Laramie.
That’s right, the Cowboys’ season is over, but don’t tell that to thousands of viewers who have clicked to watch his backflip dunk in Wyoming’s 64-62 loss to Northeastern. Now moving towards what is becoming a cult icon status with the endless and instant homes on the internet, Wadell isn’t just a part of the Cowboys, right now, he’s the face of the program.

The Cowboys finished 19-14 on the season, including four one-point losses. Waddell will return with a very young lineup that will include Mountain West Conference Freshman of the year, Afam Moujeke.
Waddell averaged just under six points per game and over three rebounds in his redshirt freshman campaign. He scored double figures five times, including 11 against Northeastern.
The 6′ 10″ 235 pounder graduated from Cody High School in 2007.
