In a stealthy production, the students, faculty and administration for Star Valley High School as well as administration officials honored not only the music program for their recent accolades, but also for SVHS Principal, Shannon Harris, who was named Wyoming’s Principal of the year for 2009.
Harris was nominated by another school district and selected among her peers for the performance of the school. Superintendent Jon Abrams presented Mrs. Harris with flowers, while the SVHS student body officers presented her with an award.
In addition to the presentation, Harris was serenaded by Sincopation, and “interviewed” by the SVHS Drama department.
Performances by Treble Tones, Sincopation and the SVHS Bluegrass Band were all on the slate.
The Independent congratulates Mrs. Harris on this achievement. Be sure to click below for exclusive video of the assembly.
