The Lincoln County Commissioners have offered a $500 reward for information leading to the recovery of a trailer and the voting equipment it housed.
The trailer was stolen sometime between May 17 and May 20 from the Lincoln County Roads and Bridges shop in Kemmerer.
According to information provided by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the trailer belonged to the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office and contained voting equipment. Some of the equipment was recovered from where the suspect(s) had partially emptied the trailer.
Still missing are several poll booths and tables used for elections, including equipment used to assist individuals with disabilities to vote.
The inside of the trailer had been modified with custom built shelves and cubbies to fit various voting equipment.
Anyone with information regarding the theft of the trailer is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (307) 877-3971.
