The Lady Braves might have been underdogs on paper but when the match started they hardly looked the part.
The Lady Braves dominated at the net and peppered the Rock Springs Lady Tigers in an 8 a.m. match that Star Valley swept 25-15, 25-14 & 25-21.
It’s the first time that this particular team has beaten Rock Springs this season and avenged a 3-1 loss Friday afternoon. It’s the second time in three years that the Lady Braves have eliminated Rock Springs to earn a 4A state tournament birth.
The Lady Braves will return to Casper after a one-year hiatus. First year head coach Kathy Robinson has insisted all season that the Lady Braves were better than their conference record.
They will play the top-seeded Evanston Lady Red-Devils at 11:30 a.m. as the 4A West Regional Tournament continues. Natrona and Green River will play at 1:30 p.m.
