Funeral services for Vearl W. Hoopes

Funeral services for Vearl W. Hoopes are scheduled for 12:00 noon, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Afton Tabernacle. Viewings will be held Wednesday evening November 18th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Schwab Mortuary in Afton and before the funeral at the Afton Tabernacle from 10:30 to 11:45.

It is with a measure of sadness, but also relief that we learned of Uncle Vearl’s passing. He has been a living symbol of integrity my entire life, and he has endured great sadness since his beloved wife, Donna, passed away several years ago. Vearl was an active man, even in his wheelchair, for his entire life. Being so completely disabled has been difficult for him to endure and for his family to watch. Special thanks to all his caregivers, especially Beth and Ralph. Service like theirs defines true love more than words can express. Our prayers are with the family.
