Star Valley bounced back from their 0-3 start in Cheyenne with a convincing win over their border rivals in Montpelier.
The Lady Braves, who led by nine points at the half, used some timely free-throw shooting to expand the lead on the cold-shooting Lady Bears. Emily Porter paced the Crimson & Gold with 11 first half points, finishing with a game-high 16 in the victory.
Randi Robinson scored nine while Kelsea Gardner scored eight and pulled down nine rebounds in an overall team effort that saw 11 different players contribute in the scoring column. The Lady Braves also compiled 15 team steals.
The ladies play in the Flaming Gorge Classic next weekend in Sweetwater County.
