After a delayed start due to snow and a scoreless first half, it was the Red Devils who struck first but Star Valley battled back to claim a much needed 2-1 victory.

Funeral services for Edna Mae Hillyard will be held Friday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in the Afton Stake Tabernacle.

Laramie, Wyo. (April 26, 2010) –  Wyoming Cowboy seniors John Fletcher, Weston Johnson, Ryan Otterson and Mitch Unrein all signed free-agent contracts with NFL teams this past weekend following the 2010 NFL Draft. 

The Star Valley Medical Center will host the 2010 Health Fair on Saturday, June 5, 2010. The event will take place at the Star Valley High School in the Auxiliary Gym.

Approximately 120 people gathered in the Afton Civic Center on Tuesday evening to discuss the proposed Lincoln County Detention Center with the Lincoln County Commissioners as well as the county sheriff.

Alpine’s Zachery Dubisz recently won the Wyoming Geography Bee.

A light earthquake occurred Thursday, April 15 in eastern Utah and was felt in much of southwestern Wyoming. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage associated with the event.

­ A Colorado Springs woman and her two children are safe and a suspect has been arrested after a high speed chase began south of Casper.  Interstate 25 on the north edge of Casper was temporarily closed at the time due to a two vehicle crash that brought the chase to a close.

The University of Utah Seismograph Station based in Salt Lake City reports a 4.9 magnitude earthquake on Thursday, April 15, at 5:59 p.m. The quake was located five miles northeast of Randolph, Utah.
