CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Maintaining a vibrant economy in Wyoming is directly tied to the conservation of the sage grouse, according to the chairman of the Sage Grouse Implementation Team which made its final recommendations to Governor Dave Freudenthal today.

Rawlins – Wyoming Highway Patrol Troopers continue to investigate a bizarre series of events involving intentional ramming of a vehicle, shots fired and one person cut that resulted in three persons being injured. One of the three injured is the suspect who has been taken into custody.

County Resolution 2010-05, which passed at the Jan. 19 meeting of the Lincoln County Commissioners, will take effect on Thursday, July 1. 2010. The resolution sets new rates for landfill use in Thayne, Cokeville and Kemmerer.

The Star Valley Historical Society has placed a new a commemorative stone on the face of the Historic Rock Church in Auburn. The limestone slab, which reads “Auburn Ward 1889,” is an exact replica of the building’s original signage. Lincoln County’s annual Bag of Woad program has been delayed due to cold wet weather. Lincoln County Weed and Pest reports the Woad has not yet matured to the point where the program will be effective in treating the weed growth.
