The filing period for candidates interested in serving on either the Lincoln County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees or the North Lincoln County Hospital District Board of Trustees will begin next week. Filing dates are Aug. 4-23.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. –Governor Dave Freudenthal urged the leader of the U.S. House of Representatives to delay action on oil and gas regulations under a proposed bill that has been hastily drafted.

Saturday, July 24, 2010 the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and Star Valley Search and Rescue responded to the “Lunch Counter” rapids area of the Snake River. Reports had come in that a man had been swept downstream by the river.

Three hours of bull riding action and other related “bull” events entertained a full house on Saturday evening at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, with one of the event favorites overcoming several injuries to win the 2010 Superbull championship and the majority of the $18,000 purse.

Washington, D.C. –  As part of Recovery Summer, next week Vice President Biden will visit Yellowstone and Grand Canyon National Parks, where $25 million in Recovery Act funding is creating jobs and jump-starting previously-deferred construction and maintenance projects.
