A memorial service for Orson Alma Bassett will be held Thursday September 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Grover Ward LDS Chapel.  Military honors will take place immediately after the service at the Afton Cemetery, conducted by the local American Legion Post 46 and VFW Post 4797.

A Grover man was killed in a one-vehicle accident at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26.

The only team that beat the Lady Braves so far this weekend  is who Star Valley faced in the finals as the Alta Hawks of Sandy, Utah, had to face the Crimson & Gold again.

If the opening day is any indication, there should be some good times coming this fall for the Star Valley fall sports teams.

There’s not a parent that lives in Star Valley that doesn’t realize exactly how big and spread out the residents of the Cowboy state are settled.

The filing period for candidates interested in serving on either the Lincoln County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees or the North Lincoln County Hospital District Board of Trustees came to a close on Monday, Aug. 23. Candidate names for both boards were released this week.

After competing in one of the toughest conference slates in recent memory, the Lady Braves appear to be returning a strong group to the 4A West where three of the top four teams played in 2009.
