The Town of Afton is asking residents to not park on the street at night, in order to allow snow plows the space needed to clear the streets early in the morning. The town also asks residents to avoid putting the snow from their driveways onto the street. The Town of Afton has an ordinance in place that states “no vehicle shall park or be parked on any street within the incorporated limits of the Town of Afton between the hours of 2:30-6 a.m. daily during the regular snow removal season.” The ordinance also notes that snow or ice from private driveways shall not be placed on the maintained portion of the municipal streets, roads, parking lots of alleys of the town. The ordinance notes the designated snow season as Nov. 1 through April 30.
