An ordinance for handbills

The Town of Afton has passed an ordinance that prohibits posting handbills or fliers on any post, pole, tree, wall, fence or building with the town limits without the name of the person responsible for removing the advertisement be included the lower right-hand corner. The new ordinance calls for the notices to be removed within 48-hours of the event. Written permission for posting the notice will also be required from the Town of Afton. Violation of the new ordinate calls for a fine of not less than $50, nor more than $750 per handbill or flier.
