Gardner signs to wrestle at Northwest

Star Valley High School graduate, Justin “Whitey” Gardner submitted his letter of intent to wrestle for Northwest College in Powell next season.
Gardner, a state champion from the Class of 2007, wrestled for Colby Community College directly out of high school at 125 pounds. During that season, he placed second in his region as a freshman and qualified for the nationals where he went 2-2, coming one round away from securing All-American honors.
He is currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Jamaica. He is anticipated to return to the United States on July 28.
The head coach for the Northwest Trappers is Jim Ziegler.
The son of Rollin and Tami Gardner, he was coached in high school by Eddie Clark, Adam Guild and Winston Patterson.
