The Town of Afton passed a resolution this week to increase the rates for Lincoln Water Quality Lab tests. The water testing lab is run by the town. Under resolution 2011-07, the new rates will take effect July 1, 2011.  “The Town of Afton wishes to make the testing more cost efficient,” the resolution reads. “The town has established rates of $15 on regularly scheduled test days and $25 for samples processed on other days. The town wishes to raise those rates to $25 for testing on regularly scheduled test days and $35 for testing on other days.”  The resolution outlines that regular test days will remain as the “first Monday of each month.”  For more information on the Lincoln Water Quality Lab, run by the Town of Afton, contact the town at 885-8696.
