The Mountain West Conference released its 2011 preseason football poll on Tuesday, and the Wyoming Cowboys were selected sixth in the eight-team Mountain West. Boise State was picked as the preseason favorite, receiving 28 of 31 first-place votes from conference media members. Gray Augustus of Idaho Falls, Idaho set a blistering pace en route to winning the First Annual Star Valley Half-Marathon on Saturday morning. More than 300 runners from seven states registered to participate in the event, with more than half of them being Star Valley residents.
