Despite still leading the state in percentage of unemployment, Lincoln County’s numbers dipped to 6.6 percent in July of this year according to the latest data. Part of the improvement is based up on seasonal hiring during the summer as the county unemployment rate dropped from 7.3 percent in June to 6.6 percent in July.
Archery Unlimited will host an archery shoot this weekend to help raise money for breast cancer research. The event will take place Aug. 26-28 at 134 County Road 108 in Etna. “All proceeds go to breast cancer research,” said Neal Kiehne, event organizer.
