The Town of Thayne is looking to move forward with annexing the Bear Hollow Development, located just East of Thayne along Dana Road. According to Mayor Bob King, property owners within the development initially approached the town with an interest in being annexed.  “They came to us and asked how they could be annexed into the town,” King said. “So we are working forward with that process. They are already on our water and sewer system. All we really have to offer them is snow removal. But they will add to the population of Thayne by about 50 people.”
Another benefit to Thayne is having the town’s secondary water supply within the town limits.

“Our well is right up by them,” said King. “As soon as they get all the paperwork done and we make sure that we’ve crossed our t’s and dotted our i’s, we will move forward with the annexation. We’ve always felt Bear Hollow was a part of our town.”
