Also an unapologetic Cowboy fan, I see. Whether or not the stats showed it, they only beat Weber State by 7. They played a great half with a culture shocked, pressure heavy Texas team but still gave up 31 points in a hurry. Then didn’t score a point to a team that gave up 700 yards to a Toledo team. Ouch. That program is going to need 3 to 4 years to build the right way, they have the wrong athletes in the wrong system. They were picked last in the mountain west for a reason. Usually the bottom teams don’t shake out much, and the top teams usually are determined by one or two games. UNLV rolls, especially against a true freshman qb. After seeing BYU implode last year, I wasn’t surprised at all to see them not be able to handle the pressure against a talented Florida State team. Ponder made them look silly. The oklahoma win was the worst thing that could of happened to a squad looking waaayyy ahead. Mendenhall is going to have to figure that out fast before he competes consistently with the Chris Peterson’s of the world.
