The Idaho Falls District of the Bureau of Land Management and the Caribou-Targhee National Forest released a Record of Decision regarding the expansion of the Smoky Canyon Mine, Panels F & G. Close to 25 members of the Wyoming National Guard arrived in Weston County Saturday, June 7, to build a 26-foot long temporary bridge over a washed out county road. The request came to the Wyoming National Guard Friday to send personnel to put a bridge into place. (more…)

There was a time when driving into Alpine from the south presented an interesting phenomenon. The posted speed limit in the northbound lane was 45 mph. The posted speed limit for the southbound lane, however, was 35 mph.
