The Star Valley basketball squads both won against visiting Green River.  The win gave the Lady Braves a weekend split while the Braves swept their Sweetwater County opponents over the weekend.

Braves upset Rock Springs 85-73 »

Rock Springs came in at 12-4 on the season and the second highest scoring team in class 4A.  While the Tigers hit their scoring average, the Braves were able to ride a fourth quarter run to a victory.

An earthquake was felt Feb. 2 in Yellowstone National Park, according to the Wyoming State Geological Survey, (WGS).

Blayne “Bud” Streeper, age 27, from Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Canada, posted the fastest time on Day Two of the 2010 International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR) with a time of 2:54:22. Streeper, winner of the 2004 IPSSSDR, ran 12 dogs and averaged 14.8 MPH on the windy trail outside Lander.
