In a unanimous vote, the Lincoln County Planning Commission has voted against recommending a grass airstrip on the Double L Ranch just north of Etna. The decision was made Wednesday, July 23 at the regular county planning and zoning meeting.

Afton Heritage Committee to induct Hall of Fame class Saturday »

While the title may say Afton, indeed the first six members of the Afton Heritage Committee’s Hall of Fame did much more than simply stay in Afton.  They founded the very basis for life in Star Valley and went a long way towards determining the stability of this area.

Boy Injured By Yellowstone Bison »

A 12-year-old Pennsylvania boy was flipped in the air by a bison near the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone Friday morning. A mature bull bison, apparently annoyed at the close proximity of the boy, tossed him approximately 10 feet in the air.
