Farrow’s account of the events leading up to the shooting death of Tony Hansen and a bullet wound for Melanie Pumphery depicted a man concerned about his girlfriend – a man who did not desire to confront or fight anyone. According to Farrow, he felt threatened and endangered by the situation and reacted.
Just after 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a reported shooting. The incident took place at an Afton apartment.Tony Hansen, 22, of Afton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Melanie Pumphrey, 21, of Alpine, was transported to Star Valley Medical Center where she was treated for a gunshot wound.
Actual ignition will be dependent on meeting strict parameters for weather and fire behavior conditions. Forest users may experience temporary smoky conditions in the vicinity of the burn unit, along with the possibility of occasional, short-term trail or road closures. Interagency fire managers will attempt to minimize any adverse impacts as the burn proceeds.
