The filing period for candidates interested in serving on either the Lincoln County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees or the North Lincoln County Hospital District Board of Trustees came to a close on Monday, Aug. 23. Candidate names for both boards were released this week.

Some of the most discussed elections in the entire county were going to be greatly affected by how the public came out and participated in the Primary Election on Tuesday August 17. The unofficial results proved to be interesting.

Three hours of bull riding action and other related “bull” events entertained a full house on Saturday evening at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, with one of the event favorites overcoming several injuries to win the 2010 Superbull championship and the majority of the $18,000 purse.

The Star Valley Superbull, an all bull-riding event scheduled for one night at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds was already going to include some of the top riders on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuit.
