Robert Julian McClure, Jr., was sentenced on Thursday, June 25, 2009 in the Third Judicial District Court.
According to court documents, McClure will serve “not less than three years, nor more than seven years.” McClure will be incarcerated in the Wyoming State Penitentiary in Rawlins.

If you and your family have lived in Star Valley  for more than a handful of years, the chances are some of, if not all of clan was delivered by Dr. O.D. Perkes.

The J. R. Simplot Company has notified its 560 employees at Smoky Canyon mine and Pocatello fertilizer manufacturing plant that a reduction in force is being implemented because the company has not been able to proceed with preparatory work that would lead to expansion at the mine.

After several weeks of anxiety for one of Star Valley’s largest employers, the Simplot Smoky Canyon Mine was given permission by the courts to proceed with their planned expansion.  Litigation brought to bear by environmental groups alleging impact to the surrounding area had thrown the decision into doubt and brought the issue to the front [...]

BILLINGS — Rocky Mountain College students were honored for their athletic accomplishments at the athletic awards ceremony on April 30, 2009. Awards were presented overall and individually by sport.

In 1968, the Swift Creek Hydroelectric Plant was hit by a huge snowslide, destroying the facility.  On April 30, 2009, it started churning out power once again.
