A single-car rollover on Saturday evening, August 9, resulted in the death of a sixteen-year-old male in Grand Teton National Park. The accident occurred at 7:05 p.m. on Highway 26/89/191, near the Elk Ranch Flats just 1.5 miles south of Moran junction.

Wednesday evening, Aug. 6, 2008, between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. the Green Canyon Water Tank in the Town of Star Valley Ranch was vandalized. According to initial reports of the incident, locks and chains at the gate were removed and the lock to the access door on top of the tank was removed.

The CallAir Museum, located in the new Afton Civic Center, will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. The museum will portray a living history of CallAir airplanes.

A series of free photography workshops by Photography in the Parks will be held at Yellowstone National Park from August 18 to August 24. Participants will have the opportunity to learn digital photography from the pros while using top-of-the-line equipment.

As much as the citizens of the valley anticipated the summer months after a long cold winter and a wet sloppy spring, the summer days are waning and so is the Dahl E. Llama’s patience while waiting for fall.

Up until two weeks ago, you might have found a few naysayers when it came to the completion of the updates to the Star Valley High School Athletics Facilities.  All you can say now with just likely one more week before turf arrives is: Whoa.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Wyoming Attorney General Bruce Salzburg today joined attorneys for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other parties to the gray wolf lawsuit on a conference call to preliminarily discuss the
next step in the litigation.

In a unanimous vote, the Lincoln County Planning Commission has voted against recommending a grass airstrip on the Double L Ranch just north of Etna. The decision was made Wednesday, July 23 at the regular county planning and zoning meeting.
