The filing period for candidates interested in serving on either the Lincoln County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees or the North Lincoln County Hospital District Board of Trustees came to a close on Monday, Aug. 23. Candidate names for both boards were released this week.

Some of the most discussed elections in the entire county were going to be greatly affected by how the public came out and participated in the Primary Election on Tuesday August 17. The unofficial results proved to be interesting.

Weather patterns are aiding the idea that Western Wyoming could be under siege this summer.

The debate and discussion with regards to the continuation of the one cent, fifth penny, general excise tax in Lincoln County continues this week. Ordinances in relation to the sales tax have been discussed by each of the municipalities in Star Valley this month.
