StarValleyIndependent.com is a growing online source for valley news and information. Launched on August 14, 2007, starvalleyindependent.com has seen considerable growth in a short amount of time. What’s exciting is that we expect that growth to continue.

There are five areas for ad placement on our website. Each area is open to five advertisers, with a maximum of 25 for our site. The low number of advertisers allows your ad to been seen at a higher rate of frequency in its rotation. Plus, each ad is assigned the same status in its rotation.

Website advertising rates are as followed:
Regular Rate is $.10 per impression
Contract Rate is $.07 per impression
VIP Rate is $.05 an impression.

An impression equates to the number of times your ad appears in its rotation. To qualify for a contract rate, advertisers are asked to commit to a 6 month contract with starvalleyindependent.com. VIP rates are extended to current newspaper advertisers, on contract with Star Valley Independent.

To give you an idea of what it would cost to advertise on our website, here is a quick breakdown. In November 2007, we averaged 154 visits per day (4,620 visits total). At 154 visits per day, any ad in a 5 ad rotation can receive 30 impressions per day. At regular rate it would cost $3.00 a day (30x$.10=$3.00); contract advertisers would be billed $2.10 a day (30x$.07=$2.10); VIP advertisers would be billed $1.50 a day (30x$.05=$1.50). It’s important to note that the cost of advertising is directly affected by the total number of visits each day. Some months may be higher than others, some months are lower.

At the end of each billing period the “total” number of visit to starvalleyindependent.com is tallied by Google Analytics. An average number of “daily” visits is figured and that number is divided by 5 (representing advertisers in a rotation). This gives us an average of how many times your ad was seen on our website.

Each billing period is only figured on the number visits to our homepage. When your ad appears on any subpage, it is FREE to the advertiser. Considering that 13,741 pages were view in November 2007, that is a considerable amount of additional impressions for FREE.
