A trio of people have been inducted into the Afton Heritage Hall of Fame. Hyrum Don Carlos Clark, Walter Kenneth Olsen and Violet Ruth Lancaster Hyde will be honored at the Civic Center on July 4, at 11 a.m.
Wyoming Highway Patrol District 3, which includes Lincoln County, was selected as the top district in the state.

The Braves and Lady Braves both finished as the State Runner-Up to wrap up the track & field season. It is the first time in school history that both track teams have finished in the top-two at the same time.

A city park has been named for Officer Alyn Beck in Las Vegas. A similar item for Officer Igor Soldo is in the works. The two were murdered by anti-police zealots in June of 2014.

The Star Valley Temple will be the first LDS temple in the State of Wyoming. The announcement for the building came in October of 2011. Construction is expected to last approximately two years.
