The Town of Thayne is finishing up punch list items and miscellaneous other projects associated with the Thayne Community Center this week. According to Mayor Bob King, the town will hold an open house for the building in mid November.
“We are wrapping up punch list items and doing clean-up,” King said. “We are hoping to have our certificate of occupancy before the end of the month.”
Work is also taking place on the parking lot on the north side of the building, he said.
“We are also finishing up the landscaping on the west and south of the building,” he said. “Things are just really coming together nicely.”
According to King, once the certificate of occupancy is issued, work will begin to move into the building.
“We have some volunteer groups that are coming forward to help with that,” he said. “We’ll give everybody a couple of weeks to move in and get set up and then have our open house.”
A date for the open house has not been finalized at this point, he said.
