An accident that occurred between Alpine Junction and the Town of Alpine remains under investigation this week by the Wyoming Highway Patrol. The incident took place at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. According to Lt. Tom Kelly, District Three Supervisor with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the head-on collision involved a 1994 Ford Bronco and a 2005 Dodge Truck. Brenton Tometich, 52, of Etna was driving the Dodge Truck. Terry Mcadoo, 45, of Alpine was driving the Ford Bronco.
Circumstances leading up to the accident are still under investigation. According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, road conditions and weather were not cited as factors in the accident. According to Kelly, troopers are working out the details of what transpired prior to the collision. Alcohol has been identified as a contributing factor. “Charges will be filed in this case,” said Kelly.
The extent of the charges against Mcadoo, who allegedly is responsible for the collision, will depend on what the investigation reveals, Kelly said.
“If it is determined that [the collision] was intentional, there could be some serious charges,” he said.
Mcadoo was transported to Star Valley Medical Center and then taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He is listed in serious but stable condition. Tometich refused medical treatment, Kelly said.
