The Bridger-Teton avalanche Center for the Greys River area listed avalanche danger as being “high at all elevations” this week.
“Very strong winds and new snow have combined to create very dangerous avalanche conditions,” a recent report stated. “Natural avalanches are likely on a variety of aspects and travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended.”
According to the report, weather conditions in the area will continue to create hazardous backcountry positions.  Snow depth was listed as 32 inches at Commissary Ridge, 30 inches at Blind Bull Meadow and 16 inches at the Box Y Ranch.  Find the most recent regional avalanche conditions by clicking here.
