Mayor Boyd Siddoway issued a “be a good neighbor” reminder to residents in the Town of Star Valley Ranch this past week.
“There have been two incidences of houses being broken into and items being taken from the homes,” he said. “We are not trying to scare anyone with this. We live in a great area and things like this do not happen very often. When they do happen, it reminds us all to look out for each other.”
According to Siddoway, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has been working on the cases and apprehended some suspects relating to the incidents shortly after the thefts were discovered.
“Our local law enforcement does not tolerate this kind of behavior and neither does this town,” Siddoway said. “We are asking everyone to do what they can to prevent these types of things from happening. Know your neighbors and look out for each other. If your neighbor is going to be gone for several weeks, keep an eye on their property and report anything suspicious. We have to work together on things like this.”
